COSMETIC

Title – MBBS

Not recognised by the AMC.

5-6 years of education for an MBBS.

The cosmetic component can be a series of short courses ranging from 1 day to a few weeks on a topic of their choosing – i.e. injectables, liposuction or breast implants.

PLASTIC

Title – MBBS FRACS (Plast)

Recognised by AMC.

A minimum of 12 years medical and surgical education.

Including at least an additional 5 years of specialist postgraduate training.
